1. Overview
Salons use CueConnect to send transactional SMS to their Salon Clients and to their own staff. When a salon sends a message through CueConnect, the salon is the sender for that message and is responsible for having obtained appropriate consent from the recipient.
2. Types of SMS sent
- Appointment reminders
- Appointment confirmations
- Appointment changes and cancellations
- Consultation reminders
- Staff notifications (assigned appointments, schedule changes)
- Owner and manager notifications (operational events)
- Verification codes and security notices
CueConnect does not send marketing or promotional SMS. Salons must not use CueConnect to send promotional or marketing SMS unless a separately compliant consent and opt-out framework is in place.
3. Sample messages
Examples of transactional messages sent through the Service:
- "[Salon Name]: Reminder — your appointment with Ana is tomorrow at 2:15 PM. Reply C to confirm, R to reschedule. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
- "[Salon Name]: Your appointment on Fri Aug 14 at 10:00 AM is confirmed. See you soon! Reply STOP to opt out."
- "[Salon Name]: Your verification code is 483920. Do not share this code."
Every SMS identifies the sending salon. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
4. Consent
By providing a mobile number to a salon that uses CueConnect, or by providing a mobile number directly in a form connected to CueConnect, the recipient consents to receive transactional SMS relating to appointments and salon services. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
5. Opt-in methods
Consent may be captured through any of the following methods, at the salon's discretion and in accordance with applicable law:
- Verbal confirmation at the time of booking, recorded in the client record.
- Web form or online booking flow that includes a clear SMS consent disclosure.
- Written intake form completed at the salon.
- A confirmation reply to an initial verification message.
6. Opt-out (STOP)
Recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Alternative keywords recognised by carriers (such as END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT) are also honoured. Once opted out, the recipient will stop receiving SMS from that workspace, except for messages that are legally required (for example, certain regulatory or security notices).
After opting out, the recipient will receive a single confirmation message acknowledging the opt-out. No further messages will be sent to that number by that workspace unless the recipient later opts back in.
7. Help (HELP)
Recipients may reply HELP at any time to receive assistance information, including how to contact the salon and how to opt out. For product support you can also contact support@cueconnect.studio.
8. Frequency
Message frequency varies based on the recipient's activity — for example, the number of upcoming appointments, changes to those appointments, and requested reminders.
9. Message & data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Rates are set by the recipient's mobile carrier and depend on their plan.
10. Carrier disclaimer
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to the recipient's device, coverage and carrier network conditions.
11. No guarantee of delivery
CueConnect and its SMS provider make reasonable efforts to deliver messages but do not guarantee that any specific message will be delivered, delivered on time, or read by the recipient. Recipients should confirm important information (for example, appointment details) directly with the salon.
13. Privacy
Mobile phone numbers collected in connection with SMS are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Phone numbers are never sold. Phone numbers are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
14. Related terms
Use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
